It’s been real fun watching the Fox News clown car deposit these misfits on the debate stage regularly but I feel sorry for the Republicans who know better than to rely on litmus tests.

Its All About Faith

When did the (rarely exemplified) christian mantra “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” become “Do as I say, not as I do.”? Its a trick question because our leaders only practice the old school “eye for an eye” gimmick. Thats been the rule as long as there has been rule. The few that tried to accomplished equality through turning the other cheek got beatings and bullets for their troubles.

Since the Dr.King was shot down for being uppity, how many come forward to defend the defenseless? Well, there’s Bailin’ Palin. She had the courage to step right up and demand that Rahm Emmanuel be fired for using the offensive term “retarded” in reference to Democratic obstructionists who were behaving without reason and beyond compromise. Sarah might have kept her mouth shut if he had called them lazy “N-words”. There’s no denying that, because the party of consistent no must be consistent in their defense of the oppressed. Too bad thats not how things happened. An ancient  homophobic racist gets the pass, and all I get is Robert Byrd thrown in my face. Well. he’s dead now; many years before his passing he made attempts to right his wrongs. To me he was a POS pork barrel SOB. I must say though, I never heard  his bigoted slurs coming across the airwaves.  I did hear the old crow’s rant.

On the 47th anniversary of the one leader who actually was christ-like, who  spoke in such a manner to unify a country, St.Sarah and the Holy Rollers will stand on the same steps where the famous speech was delivered. Who will tweet “Reload” then?

Prop 8 & the Cordova Initiative

It just so happens that these two issues in our national debate are occurring now. You can trip back through our entire history  to prove the hypocrisy and idiocy of the right. If you are unfortunate enough to be within earshot of Faux news or any other conservative loudmouth the highest volume is about the constitution. Protect it. Preserve it. Enforce it. Though, it seems, only when it suits their twisted purpose. Let me get the mosque out of the way first because its super easy: 1st Amendment and 5th Amendment. For the t-baggers stumbling along with the constitution in their pockets, it goes like this: Freedom of Religion (1st) and Private property rights (5th). If the GOP wants to abolish the freedom of religion, I’m all for it! But they don’t. They want to impose their beliefs on the rest of us. Kind of like the Defense of Marriage disgrace. Do as I say, not as I do. Right, Newt? Are you on your third adultery yet, Newt? Apparently the 5th amendment doesn’t fall into the American Taliban’s plans either.  Unless, of course, its property they approve. Like a church or a gun store. So I ask, is Bailin’ Palin and her brood of Mamma Frizzlies interested in defending the constitution or shredding it? Good thing its secure in the LoC.

The right wing stinks out loud. I’m not here to pull any punches but I’m not interested in cheap shots, either. I abhor religious zealots, hereafter referred to as The American Taliban.
